Black Powder Toys (also known as BPT) is a 5-piece modern rock band from North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Founded by vocalist Clayton Blancard and keyboardist Pete Ryznar, the band additionally consists of Tom Lawreszuk on guitar, Mark ? on percussion and Shaun Fingers Moran on bass. Their independent debut album, Made in China, earned the band radio play on multiple stations throughout Poland and led to a tour invite the band couldn't refuse.

BPT's first overseas tour kicked off in Warsaw. They played Poland's largest charity event - the 20th Anniversary Grand Finale Concert for The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. This one day festival in downtown Warsaw was attended by over 60,000 and raised over $15 million US for underfunded hospitals across the country. BPT was the only North American band on the bill. Over 1700 bands applied for 16 spots. The charity concert was televised live on both national channels of Polish TV (TVP1, TVP2) and various other media networks.

With interest spreading across Eastern Europe, BPT went back a second time and toured extensively across Poland and the Ukraine. From University shows in Krakow to outdoor festivals such as Woodstock Ukraine in L’viv, the band earned themselves national recognition.

Back at home, BPT performed alongside Colin James, the Odds, Chilliwack, Shari Ulrich, at the Music Family Benefit Concert in Vancouver. They played the Harvest Project's Hand-up concert at the Centennial Theatre and six Winter Olympic shows, including the Plaza of Nations and the Olympic Torch Relay. With their newly founded European connections BPT was asked to share the stage with the popular Polish rock band, Lombard, at a sold out Terry Fox Theatre in Coquitlam.

Made in China was the last album ever recorded at North Vancouver's Bakerstreet studios. It is a tribute to producer extraordinaire Paul Baker who lost his battle to cancer. Featured guest musicians include Paul Hyde (Payolas) Megan Metcalfe, and Dave Steele (Motley Crue, the Cult).

Black Powder Toys debut album continues to win the band new fans with its edgy melodies and catchy choruses. Push Pull their first single, and Stones Throw continue to be played on Radio 3 in Warsaw. The band is currently working on new material for their follow up album due out in 2017. Black Powder Toys Made in China can be found on iTunes and Amazon world-wide.
